Project Description

Leaping is one of the latest projects I've done. It was part of the Design4Music programme where you would create a game or an experience based on a challenge designed by the Effenaar. It's goal was to bring the crowd at an event closer to the DJ by using interaction.

We did so by splitting the crowd in 2 and letting the crowd move their cellphone which passed on its acceleration to a real-time database which was being read by the game.

The DJ's audio input caused the orbs to spawn, and the crowd's movement moved their bar up and down.

By doing usertests we could prove that this was a great success and perhaps granting it a place in the Effenaar in the near future.
